PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THE CLUB!
We are a youth Track and Field Club serving the Capital District. Membership is open to athletes from age 7 (or born in 2010) to 18 years old. We provide elementary, middle-school and high school students a unique Track and Field/Cross Country opportunity.
During our spring track and field season, athletes have the opportunity to try any and all events which include: long jump, high jump, mini-javelin (up to age 12), javelin (13 and up), hurdles (11 and up), pole vault (13 and up), shot put, and sprinting and distance running.
For the fall season, we offer a cross country program. Practices will be held at the Elm Ave Town Park on Sundays from 3:30-5:00 and Thursdays from 5:30-6:30. The Thursday practices will move to an earlier/shorter time once daylight becomes a factor. Our first practice will be Sunday, September 10th at 3:30. We plan to have a few informal meets with other area clubs, as well as participate in the Junior Olympic meets. All participation in meets is optional.
The registration fee for cross country is $40 per child. If you participated in the spring track and field program this year, your cross country fee is waived. Please register for cross country and enter the PROMO code you received via email. Each child must also have their own USATF membership which is an additional $20 per child. The USATF memberships are valid until 12/31 each year.
EACH athlete must register for a USATF membership before they register for the club. This membership MUST be in the child's name, NOT the parent's. If you are or have been a member of the club before, you must renew your USATF membership for the year 2017 before registering for the club. The USATF membership fee is $20 per athlete. When registering for the first time, please enter our USATF club number which is 03-0278. Click this link to go to the USATF site:
After you have completed your USATF registration, you may proceed with the online registration. Assistance with fees may be available upon request. Please contact Kari Deer for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org.
