PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THE CLUB!
We are a youth Track and Field Club serving the Capital District. Membership is open to athletes from age 7 (or born in 2010) to 17 years old. We provide elementary, middle-school and high school students a unique Track and Field/Cross Country opportunity.
Athletes have the opportunity to try any and all events which include: long jump, high jump, mini-javelin (up to age 12), javelin (13 and up), hurdles (11 and up), pole vault (13 and up), shot put, and sprinting and distance running.
We are planning to begin our spring track and field program on Monday, April 3rd. Practices will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-7:15 at the Bethlehem Central High School track. We plan to have a few informal meets with other area clubs, as well as participate in the Junior Olympic meets. All participation in meets is optional.
New this year: We will have our parent meeting on Wednesday, March 29th from 6:30-8:00 at the Bethlehem public library. We will have information about the season, answer any questions, help with any registration issues, and hand out t-shirts and singlets. More information will be emailed before the meeting.
Registration fees are discounted in the following manner for families: $80 for the first child, $70 for the second child, and $60 for each child after that. Each child must also have their own USATF membership which is an additional $20 per child. Membership in our track program includes free membership to our fall cross country program as well!
EACH athlete must register for a USATF membership before they register for the club. This membership MUST be in the child's name, NOT the parent's. If you are or have been a member of the club before, you must renew your USATF membership for the year 2017 before registering for the club. The USATF membership fee is $20 per athlete. When registering for the first time, please enter our USATF club number which is 03-0278. Click this link to go to the USATF site:
After you have completed your USATF registration, you may proceed with the online registration. Assistance with fees may be available upon request. Please contact Eileen Grossman for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org.
